| rinne loved vintage fabrics and started collecting them. she searched for them wherever she roamed. soon friends gave her more & more and the next thing she knew she was teaching herself to sew. |
| the first birdbag she made was for her sister, lucy, three years ago. lucy is still her muse. |

now,
the bags are made seasonally & they incorporate vintage findings, trims and applique's, from all over the world. |

birdbags are made by hand in athens, georgia by rinne allen.
'rinne' as in 'wren' like a bird, hence the name... |
the bags began as market bags and rinne sold them at the local saturday
farmer's market. |
| they were first made with vintage cottons from the '40s & '50s. now they are made with whatever rinne finds beautiful: silks from india, one-of-a-kind ribbons, velvets, and of course, printed cottons! |
